“Out-of-control” truck on movie set injures worker
An incident that occurred Friday on the set of a Hollywood movie being filmed in British Columbia left a crew member with injuries, according to TMZ.
Emergency medical personnel were summoned to the set of “The Last Victim,” a movie starring Ron Perlman. TMZ is reporting that the driver of the truck involved accidentally accelerated, missing its stop and “sending the crew scrambling to safety.” One person was struck by the truck and reportedly suffered a foot injury.
The incident was referred to WorkSafeBC, a workplace safety agency for the Canadian province, which assigned one of its Prevention Officers to go to the set the following day.
"The Last Victim" was described by Perlman in a tweet as a “low budget independent film.” He plays a sheriff in what is being called a “neo western.”
