Brass Knuckle SmartSkin Gloves

Janitorial work carries a high risk of injury, with about 1 in 5 workers reporting injuries each year. Exposure to chemicals, such as those found in cleaners, is a common hazard. The Brass Knuckle® SmartSkin™ line includes liquid and solvent-resistant safety gloves that are effective against water and most aqueous solutions, detergents, and diluted bases and acids, as well as offering limited chemical resistance to organic solvents. There are three kinds of SmartSkin gloves to serve different kinds of Jan/San needs.

SMARTSKIN BKPVC provides liquid protection and abrasion resistance while maintaining the comfort and flexibility workers need for liquid and light chemical-handling jobs. These polyvinyl chloride (PVC) gloves offer enhanced liquid splash and some chemical resistance, while a sandy finish creates superior abrasion resistance.

SMARTSKIN BKNITR2 has a double-dip of Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR), an all-over coat then a second on fingers and palm with a grippy-when-wet sandy finish. These are excellent gloves for working “up to here” in nasty liquids, chemicals or oils while still maintaining firm grip of handheld tools.

For single-use, there are Clean Hand® nitrile single-use gloves. These back nitrile gloves are great for mechanical or auto work, providing barrier protection and tactile sensitivity while concealing messes.
