OSHA and the OSHA Training Institute, Rocky Mountain
Education Center at Red Rocks Community College (RMEC) in Lakewood, Colo., have
formed an alliance to provide information, guidance and training resources to
Colorado employees working in both general industry and construction, according
to an agency release.
OSHA's area offices in Colorado and the RMEC will collaborate on training and education programs for highway work zone safety, oil and gas well drilling and servicing, residential construction, fall protection, trenching and excavations, electrical safety, machine guarding and lockout/tagout. Lockout/tagout refers to preventing accidental start-up of machinery during maintenance. The alliance partners will participate in conferences, forums, stakeholder meetings and other events.
