The Mesothelioma Victims Center has just upgraded its free service for all mesothelioma victims to include possible legal assistance for families who had no legal representation in place before the death of a loved one from mesothelioma, according to a recent press release. For a family to be eligible, the victim has to have died within the past 12 months.
Mesothelioma is a form of cancer primarily caused by asbestos exposure. The Mesothelioma Victims Center, an organization created by the advocacy group Americas Watchdog, offers free services that include helping mesothelioma victims obtain Social Security or VA benefits, providing a report on health care options in the area of the victim, providing contact information for the most capable mesothelioma law firms, and more.
