Thomas Kramer, P.E., C.S.P.


LJB principal Thomas Kramer, P.E., C.S.P., is this year’s recipient of the Charles V. Culbertson Outstanding Service Award, given by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). The award is given to recognize one individual who provides significant service to the organization and the safety profession.

The award will be presented during the House of Delegates meeting prior to the ASSE Professional Development Conference in Chicago on June 12. Kramer has served in various roles for the ASSE organization, and he chairs two subcommittees of the ASSE/ANSI Z359 fall protection standards committee. He also serves as president of the International Society for Fall Protection.

“The goal of my professional life is to reduce risk for workers at heights,” Kramer said. “I appreciate ASSE for its similar commitment to encouraging safety; I am proud to be associated with such a great organization.”

About Thom Kramer

Mr. Kramer is a safety consultant and structural engineer with more than 15 years of experience. As a dually registered professional engineer and certified safety professional, he has spent his career consulting with clients on the investigation and renovation of facilities, which often requires extensive and creative structural and safety modifications. He specializes in the assessment and design of fall protection systems. Mr. Kramer holds bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering, along with an M.B.A. degree.
