Eyewear innovator Wiley X Inc. renews partnership with Breast Cancer Research Foundation for 2013

Wiley X Once Again Supports Search For a Cure By Raising Awareness, Donating $3 From Each New WX Chelsea Sunglass Sold

January 22, 2013

WileyXWiley X®, Inc. has renewed its partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) for 2013, again supporting the organization's year-around efforts to raise awareness of this disease and lead the search for a cure.

Throughout the year, Wiley X will support the BCRF by donating $3 for each retail sale of its fashionable new WX Chelsea sunglass for women.  Every pair of WX Chelsea sunglasses also ships with a BCRF Pink Ribbon static lens sticker, further helping to raise awareness of this disease that impacts so many women and families around the world. This iconic Pink Ribbon logo is recognized around the world as the symbol for the fight against breast cancer, particularly during Breast Cancer Awareness Month each October.

"We are pleased to renew our partnership with this worthy organization, and to support the BCRF's continuing fight for a cure," said Wiley X Co-Owner Myles Freeman, Jr.   "This year, we decided to tie our annual fundraising efforts to sales of our new WX Chelsea.  We’re confident this new style will quickly become a top seller among women everywhere - and with each sale, our company will be helping to raise both awareness and much-needed funds for the cause,"
Freeman added.

The new WX Chelsea is a fashionable women's sunglass that combines stylish good looks with the clear vision and advanced eye protection Wiley X is known for.  The WX Chelsea comes in two eye-catching versions.  Model SSCHE01 matches a unique Liquid Plum frame with Smoke Grey lenses, while Model SSCHE04 combines a fashionable Iced Tea frame with glare-cutting and attractive Polarized Bronze lenses.

In the Wiley X tradition, the new WX Chelsea provides women with vision protection that goes far beyond the harmful rays of the sun. Wiley X is the only premium sunglass brand whose entire line meets stringent ANSI Z87.1 High Velocity and High Mass Impact Safety Standards, ensuring protection against a wide range of hazards encountered in the city, on the road or in the Great Outdoors.

Wiley X is donating $3 from every WX Chelsea purchased in the U.S. to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.®  BCRF is dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime by funding clinical and translational research worldwide.
