Ergodyne introduces flame resistant cooling products

February 19, 2013

Ergodyne announced today the expansion of their heat stress solutions to include three new Chill-Its® Flame Resistant (FR) Cooling Products, available March 2013. These new FR cooling products provide the ultimate defense against heat stress with activated polymer cooling technology along with FR protection.

“Ergodyne is committed to providing the best in both heat stress and FR products,” said Adria Hardy, product manager. “We take FR seriously and know that it can be a confusing topic. Because of this, we have clearly labeled each product so employers and workers can ensure they stay safe and compliant.”

The new Chill-Its® FR Cooling Products meet ASTM F2302 for flame resistance and provide hours of cooling relief with a quick two to five minute soak in ice water. Each product has a unique design addressing varying worker preferences and jobsite needs. The three styles are:

6700FR Evaporative FR Cooling Bandana with Polymers & Tie Closure

6705FR Evaporative FR Cooling Bandana with Polymers & Breakaway Closure

6710FR Evaporative FR Cooling Triangle Hat with Polymers

“Ergodyne recognizes that fatigue and exhaustion related to excessive exposure to heat are more and more prevalent on jobsites today,” said Tom Votel, president and CEO. “With the addition of FR cooling products, Ergodyne is now a one-stop shop for heat stress solutions addressing any application.”

Ideal for outdoor and indoor workers battling heat, fatigue, and FR risks on the job, the Chill-Its® FR Cooling Products are available March 11, 2013 at all authorized Ergodyne distributors. For more information, visit www.ergodyne.com or call 800.225.8238 // +1 651.642.9889.
