Camfil Air Pollution Control (APC), a leading global manufacturer of dust and fume collection equipment, today celebrated the grand opening of its new 40,000 sq. ft. (3,716 sq. meter) facility in the United Kingdom to serve industrial customers throughout the UK and Europe.

Camfil APC worked closely with the Rochdale Development Agency to find the optimal site for the plant, which is located in the Birch Business Park in Heywood, Greater Manchester, UK. The facility has been operational since April, with a current staff of 40 employees. When fully staffed, it will employ more than 100 people in engineering, manufacturing and support positions. The plant includes a four-bay welding area, fabrication area, powder paint line, assembly area and storage space.   

Company president Lee Morgan states: "Camfil APC has developed into a global dust collection company over the past five years, with our biggest growth in the UK and European industrial markets. This strategically located facility allows us to expand our manufacturing capacity and service our European customer base more effectively. We are poised to deliver Farr Gold Series® dust collectors and related equipment fast and uphold our mission statement: to supply the best dust collector from an end-user and maintenance standpoint."

Camfil APC makes dust collection equipment that cleans up manufacturing processes for safer, more productive plant environments.
