The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) has announced that Industrial Safety & Hygiene News (ISHN) will sponsor a new best product competition during SAFETY 2013, to be held June 24-26 in Las Vegas (www.safety2013.org).
The competition, called the SAFETY 2013 Attendee Choice Awards, will recognize the most innovative and cutting-edge safety equipment and services on the global market today. More than 70 products from 50 exhibiting companies will be featured in a display at the ISHN booth on the exhibit floor.
“As the exposition at SAFETY 2013 continues to grow to more than 500 companies, we welcome the opportunity to highlight the best-of-the-best products and services available to our conference attendees,” said Dewey Whitmire, Director, Professional Development, for ASSE. “The combination of leading edge education with a hands-on opportunity to see the best new products in the marketplace make SAFETY 2013 the most important event of the year for anyone involved in the SH&E profession.”
SAFETY 2013 attendees will have the opportunity to see the products and vote for their favorites during exhibit hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Winners will be announced at the ISHN booth on the last day of the SAFETY 2013 exposition, Wednesday, June 26.
“ISHN magazine is pleased to team-up with the ASSE Professional Development Conference & Exposition at SAFETY 2013 for a unique, hands-on, best product competition,” said ISHN Publisher Randy Green. “Combined with the winners of ISHN’s Readers’ Choice Awards in June, ISHN will provide safety products buyers, specifiers, and users, with the most comprehensive presentation of the best the safety marketplace has to offer.”
Both the SAFETY 2013 Attendee Choice Award winners and the ISHN Readers’ Choice Award winners will receive editorial coverage in ISHN’s August 2013 issue, in ISHN e-Newsletters, and on www.ishn.com immediately after winners are announced.
“Technology is having a rapid and profound impact on safety products,” said ISHN Editor Dave Johnson. “We are very pleased to recognize the research and development efforts of safety equipment manufacturers ranging from all forms of personal protective equipment to training, incentive, and emergency response products.”
