Larson Electronics packs a punch with 240 Watt LED high bay light for hazardous areas

June 11, 2013

HAL-HB-240W-LED 240 watt LED lightIn a LED landscape littered with low wattage hazardous location lights, Larson Electronics released the HAL-HB-240W-LED 240 watt LED light for Class 1 Division 2 areas. Available with a variety of optics for optimal coverage depending on mounting height, this high powered LED light comes closer to replicating 1000 watt metal halide illumination.

Larson Electronics Magnalight began shipping a 240 watt Class 1 Division 2 LED lightfor high bay and flood light applications. Available with a 19, 25, 40 and 125 degree optic configuration, the HAL-HB-240W-LED is designed for hazardous areas where dusts or vapors are expected only under unusual situations. Contrast this to the EPL-HB-150LED-RT, 150 watt LED for Class 1 and Class 2 Division 1 areas, which is designed for areas where hazardous vapors and dusts are constantly present. The standard 19,000 lumen configuration operates on 90-277 VAC 50/60hz and is available in 6500k, 4300k and 3500k white color.

“At 240 watts, the HAL-HB-240W-LED Class 1 Division 2 LED light moves past 400 watt metal halide performance with less current draw, higher life hours and more durability with respect to vibration,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com.

Larson Electronics Magnalight offers a wide array of Class 1 Division 2 and Class 2 Division 1 lighting products with incandescent, metal halide and LED light engines.
