Hands-on training focuses on the electrical application of infrared

October 8, 2013

Vendor NewsIRISS, a leader in the industrial infrared (IR) window for electrical safety and electrical maintenance training market, announced today their SMART Academy rolled out the first schedule of Arizona regional Level I Infrared Electrical Certification courses scheduled in Phoenix, AZ.

“We are thrilled to bring these regional classes to Arizona over the next six months,” states Martin Robinson, IRISS CEO.  “We designed the Level I Infrared Electrical course to benefit those specifically interested in the electrical application of infrared.”  Robinson continues, “Our Level I course is unique in that it provides students a hands-on experience with electrical infrared theory, best practices and of course safety.”

IRISS’ SMART Level I Infrared Electrical Certification hands-on lab training gives you the confidence to efficiently perform infrared inspections.  The certification students receive is based on ASNT (American Society for Nondestructive Testing) standards that states in order to qualify per the definition of certification, you must have (1) Demonstrated skill and knowledge and (2) documented training and experience.

"SMART training curriculum is unique compared to others in that it focuses on electrical applications of infrared” states Steve Oberstein, Western Regional Manager for IRISS. “I have promoted the use of infrared inspections for over 15 years and this is by far the best training solution for these inspections because it is targeted specifically to cater electrical needs.”

Oberstein continues, “Training is the most critical investment you can make to maintain a quality infrared program that provides you the greatest return on investment.”

The Level I Infrared Electrical Certification Arizona training dates include: October 22nd-24th, 2013; December 10th-12th, 2013; February 11th-13th, 2014.  Additional classes are also available at SMART Training Academy in Bradenton, FL.

The Level I Infrared Electrical Certification class is one of seven courses taught through IRISS’s Safety and Maintenance Academy of Reliability Technologies or SMART Academy.  These courses provide students and their companies the knowledge and practical experience necessary to complete electrical inspections safely and efficiently.  Additional courses include Energized Electrical Maintenance, Level II IR Electrical Certification, IRISS Certified Installer, and Customized On-Site Training Solutions Auditing Electrical Assets, Jump-Start IR Window Program, and Installation Support of IR Windows.  In addition to training available at the SMART Training Academy, IRISS offers on-site or regional classes.
