ASSE's Safety 2014 Conference & Expo

April 1, 2014
Join more than 4,500 fellow safety professionals June 8-11 in Orlando, Florida for ASSE’s Safety 2014 Professional Development Conference & Exposition. As a conference attendee, you are preparing yourself for tomorrow. For EHS professionals, preparation includes formal education, planning for future growth, exposure to new ideas, networking with peers, and training. ASSE is dedicated to ensuring that we have every opportunity to prepare our teams and ourselves.

Lasting connections

Make lasting connections with the people who speak your language and share your day-to-day challenges by debating important issues, sharing personal stories and lessons learned. Subject your thinking to the best judges around – your peers. Networking opportunities include roundtables, luncheons, technical tours, ASSE Foundation golf outing
and more!

Targeted learning sessions

EHS professionals are expected to have expertise in environmental management, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, product safety, Workers’ Compensation, construction safety and organizational management, in addition to the more traditional aspects of safety management and engineering. With hundreds of educational sessions led by leaders and innovators in the field, Safety 2014 encompasses all this and more!

Here is a sample of the breadth and diversity of a few of the 250 sessions available:

  • 526: Social Media & Safety Professionals Get in the Game

Track: Business Skills & Personal Development

  • 656: How does Obesity Impact Safety in the Workplace?

Track: Industrial Hygiene/Health

Experience Level:  Intermediate, Advanced

Learn the seven areas in which obesity statistically increases worker risks including on-the-job fatigue, heat-related illness, falls, confined space entry, hand-arm vibration syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome and PPE use, and discuss prevention strategies.

  • 692: Wind Turbine Safety & Loss Prevention

Track: Technical/Engineering/Standards

Take your EHS programs to the next level

Advance your organization by connecting with the products and services that will take your EHS programs to the next level. Whether you enjoy the energy of the expo floor, filled with a wide range of products, services, technologies and innovations, or if you prefer a one-on-one approach, you will find opportunities and solutions to fit your organization’s needs.

New opportunities

Spanish-speaking attendees can attend 11 specialized sessions with technical content in Spanish. The general sessions will offer Spanish translation making the conference accessible to the growing Hispanic market. This initiative
aims to better connect ASSE with diverse audiences. Visit www.safety2014.org/es.

ASSE and ISHN have teamed up for the Attendee Choice Awards. Don’t miss your chance to recognize today’s most innovative PPE and safety products.
