Optrel establishes new operation to serve North American welding customers

New operation dedicated to delivering top level service and customer satisfaction

April 11, 2014

Vendor NewsOptrel AG, the global innovator of auto-darkening filter technology for welding helmets, has opened its first office and distribution center in North America. Operating as Optrel Inc., all customer service, sales, marketing, and distribution for Optrel products in the United States and Canada will be managed through its own East Greenwich, Rhode Island facility.

“When a welder needs a helmet or a replacement lens, we know they need it yesterday,” said Daniel Ritler, Optrel AG CEO. “Our mission continues to be a welder’s trusted partner in safety, health, and productivity, and to provide them with the most innovative welding helmets and lens technologies possible. We are committed to locally serving their needs as it happens and with the best service possible.”

Known for its groundbreaking e680 helmet, which allows the welder to select between DIN 5 to DIN 13 shade levels and can be used with a wide range of welding methods and amperages without any restrictions, Optrel has a new slate of products that fulfill welders’ underserved needs. The recently launched and NIOSH-approved e3000 Powered Air Purifying Respirator improves air distribution and comfort in extreme environments. Optrel is also preparing for the launch of the Weldcap®, a radical innovation in welder comfort and field of view.

Optrel Inc.’s customer service center (401.398.7240) is open Monday through Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm (eastern), and can assist customers with all product inquiries, technical support, distributor orders, and warranties. All orders placed before noon will ship the same day.
