Honeywell Introduces Cold Conditions Fire Retardant Apparel for Oil, Gas, Mining, Utility, Other Extreme Environments

October 3, 2014
SMITHFIELD, R.I., Sept. 29, 2014 — Honeywell (NYSE:HON) today introduced its new TNV Series of cold conditions fire retardant (FR) apparel for workers in the oil and gas industry, and in mining, utility and other extreme work environments.

The new TNV Series includes a winter parka, bib pants, and a hood — ergonomically designed to provide outstanding warmth without bulk, and easier body movement for increased comfort and productivity.

Features include four high performance FR inherent layers to protect workers against cold, wind, moisture and flash fire hazards — and outstanding fire retardant performance for the life of the apparel. Its quilted 9 oz. insulation layer helps workers feel comfortable in temperatures of -30°C to -35°C (-22°F to -31°F) while a durable-water-repellent coating sheds rain, snow and slush.

For true high visibility, the clothing's bright orange color and retro-reflective bands ensure that workers are conspicuous in daytime and in low-light environments, especially around moving vehicles and mobile equipment

The new TNV Series of cold conditions fire retardant apparel is available immediately from Honeywell Safety Products. For more information, visit http://hwll.co/protectiveclothing, contact your nearest Honeywell distributor, or call Honeywell Customer Care in the U.S. at 1-800-430-4110 and in Canada at 1-888-212-7233.
