Ergodyne expands Ice Traction line with one-piece and aggressive Spike designs

October 17, 2014

TREX ice traction devicesErgodyne has announced today the addition of two new Ice Traction devices: theTREX® 6304 Performance One-Piece Ice Traction Device and the TREX® 6320 Aggressive Spike Ice Traction Device - as well as a size expansion to include 2XL on the popular TREX® 6300 One-Piece Ice Traction Device.

"Working conditions dictate the amount of traction a worker needs when tackling ice and snow," said Andy Olson, senior product manager, Ergodyne. "With these recent additions, we have greatly broadened our line-up of ice traction devices, ranging from quick on and off to all-day wear for the toughest project conditions in the dead of the winter."

Built to keep workers on their feet in the slipperiest of working conditions, the 6304 and 6320 should be chosen based on their unique designs for specific applications:

6304:

While most ice traction devices on the market are difficult and time consuming to put on, the 6304 features an innovative "step-in" design by combining contoured sides with a one-piece stretchable rubber base. This not only delivers superior fit for the worker, it also makes for extremely efficient on/off capabilities. The 12 rugged and heat-treated carbon steel studs are dispersed throughout the entirety of the sole ensuring tenacious grip and stability on the iciest of surfaces.

6320:

The 6320 provides a stainless steel chain and spike system, extending the entire base of the foot, along with an innovative heel spike plate for superior functionality on uneven outdoor surfaces. While the aggressive steel chain and spike system delivers stability and enhanced traction, the hi-vis orange stretchable rubber ring (wrapping over the boot) ensures flexibility and a secure fit.

"Slips, trips, and falls make up the majority of general industry accidents (USDoL)," said Tom Votel, president and CEO, Ergodyne. "Our now growing and robust line of ice traction devices offer a simple, cost effective solution to a very real issue that needs to be solved."

Ideal for those working in icy and uneven winter surfaces, the new 6304, 6320 and 2XL 6300 Ice Traction Devices are available NOW at all authorized Ergodyne distributors. For more information or to find out where to buy, visitwww.ergodyne.com or call 800.225.8238 // +1 651.642.9889.
