Ergodyne expands Chill-Its® line with three new essentials

Ergodyne
April 4, 2019

Ergodyne continues to expand its line of heat-beating Chill-Its® products. Innovative cooling arm sleeves and two new thirst-crushing water bottles are the newest additions to the Chill-Its® lineup.

Heat stress on the job site is a major concern for both safety managers and workers alike. Heat is the number one weather-related killer in the US, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. To help reduce heat stress on the jobsite, Ergodyne is launching new cooling sleeves and two water bottle options, in stainless steel and BPA free options.

“These Cooling Arm Sleeves are great because they just need a little water to activate, and they effectively help cool down two major pulse points on the arm – at the wrist and under the arm – which keeps workers feeling cooler,” said Alsie Nelson, Senior Product Manager for Ergodyne. The Chill-Its® 6690 Cooling Arm Sleeves are made from a lightweight, stretchy material with UV protection. They can be used with water for cooling or worn dry to wick sweat away, and are available in three colors.

When it comes to staying safe in the heat, water is critical. Jobsites are required to have drinking water available, and some states like Washington have requirements on how much water should be provided per worker (enough so that each worker can drink up to 1 quart per hour on an 8-hour shift). OSHA also requires that the water supply be accessible to all employees and if cups are provided, they must be single-use disposable cups. “We wanted to give workers a way to carry their water with them rather than using disposable cups and plastic bottles that might end up in the trash,” Nelson adds.

The Chill-Its® 5151 BPA-Free Water Bottle is made from tough BPA Tritan copolyester plastic, holds up to 34oz. / 1000 ml and is available in three colors.

The Chill-Its® 5152 Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle has sweat-free double-wall insulation and keeps drinks cold up to 24 hours, or hot beverages hot up to 12 hours. This insulated bottle holds up to 25oz / 750 ml and is available in two color options. Both water bottles feature a sleek design for vehicle cup holders, and one-handed use. The leak-proof DualCap features a wide mouth for filling and a smaller drinking spout.
