The U.S. Department of Labor today announced the availability of $12.7 million in Susan Harwood Training Grants to support the delivery of training and education to help workers and employers identify and prevent workplace safety and health hazards.
The reorganization follows weeks of speculation about staff cuts and EPA Administrator Zeldin announcing the cancellation of billions of dollars of EPA grants.
Up to $30,000 Available for Workforce Safety and Health Research

Researchers from U.S. higher education institutions can apply for grants of up to $30,000 to conduct studies aimed at preventing occupational injury and illness.
Workplace violence and harassment disproportionately harms women from underserved and historically marginalized communities, including women of color, LGBTQI+ individuals, women with disabilities and women affected by persistent poverty and inequality.
Funded through the Susan Harwood Training Grant Program, the grants are being awarded in three categories, namely Targeted Topic Training, Training and Educational Materials Development and Capacity Building grants.
