Louis has 25 years of professional clinical experience and has held positions in corporate and occupational safety. He has a degree in safety engineering from Texas A&M University. Gonzales currently serves as the quality, performance & research coordinator in the Office of the Medical Director for the Austin/Travis County EMS System in Austin, Texas. He is a 10-year volunteer with the American Heart Association (AHA), chair of AHA’s Emergency Cardiovascular Care First Aid Subcommittee, and a member of the National First Aid Science Advisory Board.
