The rule clarifies how workers can choose their walk-around representatives

The U.S. Department of Labor announced a final rule clarifying the rights of employees to authorize a representative to accompany an OSHA compliance officer during an inspection of their workplace will be published in the Federal Register on April 1.
The project will focus on empowering women workers, communities and institutions and increasing their capacity to prevent and address discrimination, violence and harassment against women in the workplace.
A short, documentary-style video examining the devastating effects of silicosis has won PR Daily’s 2013 Video Award for Best Safety Video. Produced by the U.S. Department of Labors' Office of Public Affairs, “Silicosis: Deadly Dust” features interviews with doctors, department officials and stone carvers, painting a haunting picture of living with the disease and why it is so crucial that workers be protected from it.
