Protective Industrial Products national account team expanded

February 27, 2015

PIPProtective Industrial Products (PIP) is pleased to announce the expansion of its national accounts team. This newly created team will be led by Kurt Wanner who has accepted to lead it under the newly created position of Vice President of National Accounts. Kurt joined PIP in early 2006 as a Regional Sales Manager and later became our first National Account Manager. In his most recent role as Vice President of Sales - Safety, North and Northeast, Kurt successfully grew a large region of the country and continued to be personally active with many of our key accounts. Kurt's new role will be entirely focused on managing a dedicated team and implementing programs and strategies tailored specifically to national accounts.

Kurt’s team will include a mix of seasoned industry veterans with newly hired personnel from related industries:

Anne Gardner Davis, National Account Manager for Industrial, has over twenty years of experience within the industry, where she has earned a solid reputation working with major distributor and end-user accounts.

Jay Rogers, National Account Manager for Construction, has been with PIP nearly twenty years. During the last five years he’s pioneered PIP’s efforts in this market, resulting in accelerated growth.

Greg Lawson joins PIP from outside the industry. Previously he was Distribution Development Manager with The Michelin Group, handling specialty rubber products for the commercial and agriculture markets. He brings with him experience and world-class best practices.

Ben Bird and Jim Giordano now join our national accounts team in the newly-created position of Field Sales Specialist, reporting to Kurt Wanner. Their responsibilities include working with specific accounts and also providing specialty support within the key channel of Electrical, Jan/San and Food.

Bob Clark, who was National Account Manager for Electrical, will now move to a Product Manager role for that market, reporting to Joe Milot III, Senior Product Manager. Bob’s accounts will handled by members of the National Accounts team.

Protective Industrial Products, Inc. is one of the leading suppliers of hand protection and personal protective equipment to industrial distributors globally. PIP's mantra is "Bringing the Best of the World to You®" which it does by providing the highest-value safety products available to workers in the industrial, construction and electrical industries. PIP strengthens its value proposition by also offering its products in the most efficient and flexible manner while building long-term relationships with its distributors. Additional information about PIP is available at www.pipusa.com. For additional information, please contact Robin Roberts, Sr. Vice President of Sales, at 518-595-1005.
