April 10, 2015

Vendor NewsPelican Products, the global leader in the design and manufacture of high-impact protective case solutions and advanced portable lighting, has introduced its Lighting solutions sales team for the U.S. market.

Led by Pelican’s newly appointed Vice President of Lighting Sales, Mark Rolfes, the team will concentrate on existing core business, as well as developing new markets and applications for the company’s wide range of lighting options. Rolfes’ team includes Chris Olesen (Northeast Region), Chris Hobbs (Southeast Region), Nick Carlson (Western Region) and Paul Putas (North Midwest Region).

“Mark is an experienced and talented sales executive. I am confident that he and his new team will effectively work to bring our amazing array of lighting solutions and attentive, personalized service to our current and future customers in markets we haven’t yet explored,” said Stephan Corti, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Pelican Products.

From hazardous environments to the battlefield to a dark trail, Pelican portable lighting solutions include applications for nearly any situation and condition.

Most recently they introduced the Pelican 9490 Remote Area Lighting System (RALS) as a self-contained, mobile lighting solution with a quick release, rechargeable and swappable power supply. Shining up to 6,000 lumens in high mode with up to 24 hours of run-time in low mode, the Pelican 9490 RALS features Intelligent Control that allows for easy light output regulation as well as a Bluetooth® remote control app for the iPhone® and Android platforms.

Mark Rolfes has served as Pelican’s Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of U.S. Sales after working his way up the sales team ranks. In each position, Rolfes has led the sales team to record breaking profits every year. As a native of Baltimore, Rolfes attended Towson State University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
