National Gift Card names Eric Thiegs company’s new President

Adam Van Witzenburg retains CEO title; focus on strategic growth

February 29, 2016

Eric ThiegsNational Gift Card Corp. (NGC), one of the leading B2B suppliers of incentive and loyalty gift cards, has appointed Eric Thiegs as the company’s new president, effective immediately.

Thiegs, 43, formerly Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at NGC, reports to Chief Executive Officer Adam Van Witzenburg, who previously held both positions and retains the CEO role.

Thiegs joined National Gift Card in 2013 and will now be responsible for continuing to position NGC as the industry’s leader in gift card fulfillment, and championing both its world-class physical gift card fulfillment technology and its latest digital and mobile delivery solutions through NGC’s proprietary Gift Card API.

He oversees the staff and resources for the Sales, Marketing, Merchant Partnerships, Account Management, and Customer Service departments.  This includes the teams servicing NGC's retailer relationships and corporate and nonprofit B2B clients who purchase gift cards or use NGC's fulfillment services for loyalty, rewards, incentive and employee recognition programs.

With more than 17 years’ experience in the loyalty program arenas, Thiegs worked for five years as a senior account executive on Visa Rewards at Carlson Marketing Group (now AIMIA), five years as director of partnership marketing at Access Development, a year as head of accounts for a branding/PR/marketing agency, and four years running his own partnership agency.

“Eric’s vast experience and his focus on the ever-evolving relationships and trends in our industry make him well-qualified to lead National Gift Card in his new role,” Van Witzenburg said.

“Our clients remind us everyday about why they work with us. NGC is here to securely source and fulfill gift cards for the B2B marketplace.  Whether in bulk or individually, digital or plastic, batch file or API, in the U.S., Canada, or U.K., we are the trusted provider for all gift card and prepaid fulfillment,” stated Thiegs. “It’s my job to help anyone that's tasked with managing a gift card program to sleep better at night, because the team at NGC will take care of all of the details for getting a gift card from point A to point Z quickly, securely, and cost effectively.”
