FallTech launches a new Kernmantle horizontal lifeline to keep workers safe

FallTech
May 24, 2017

FallTech®, an innovator and leader in Fall Protection Equipment for workers at heights has launched a Kernmantle Rope Temporary Two-Person Horizontal Lifeline that is a completely engineered system with all of the components necessary to quickly and easily install a horizontal lifeline.

"The FallTech Kernmantle HLL includes the components required to easily set-up a safe and effective temporary horizontal lifeline system for continuous fall protection for up to two workers and offers ideal protection when an overhead anchor is not available”, said Jeff Shipley, Director of Marketing.  The Kernmantle HLL system is offered in spans of 30’ and 60’ and is able to be used on lengths in between.

The Kernmantle HLL includes all the components necessary to install a temporary HLL:

  • Durable 11/16” Kernmantle rope with stitched thimble-eye end termination.
  • Line tensioner allows for easy set-up and tear-down and limits over tensioning of the System.
  • Integral energy absorber to limit fall arrest forces.
  • Two heavy-duty pass through anchor straps and two carabiners provide a secure connection point at each end.
  • Two alloy steel connection O-rings.

“We spent quite a bit of time in the development and testing of the HLL to make sure we have very favorable and safe fall clearance results for both Lanyards and Self-Retracting Devices with both one and two workers”, said Mark Sasaki, Director of Engineering for FallTech.

The FallTech Kernmantle HLL is compatible with most horizontal lifeline stanchions available on the market and is compliant with OSHA 1926.502.

For more information on the FallTech Two-Person Kernmantle Rope Temporary Horizontal Lifeline, go to www.FallTech.com; contact FallTech at 800.719.4619 or contact your nearest FallTech distributor.
