Honeywell (NYSE:HON) today announced that three of its safety products have won 2018 iF Design Awards in recognition of their outstanding innovation and user-focused design.

An independent jury of 63 design experts from 20 countries selected Honeywell’s Indoor Air Quality Detector, Aircore H2 safety harness and RAEGuard 3 fixed gas detector for 2018 product design awards as part of the annual iF International Forum (iF) Design competition. The Honeywell products, designed for customers in China, won based on their innovation, usability, ergonomic design and design quality, as well as aesthetic and emotional appeal.

Our design approach helps ensure we understand and solve the challenges customers face.”

The iF Design Award competition is among the most prestigious and largest in the world. Held annually since 1953, it attracts thousands of entries to select the world’s best products for their exceptional design.

Winning products from Honeywell Industrial Safety are:

Indoor Air Quality Detector (IAQ) – tracks and monitors indoor air quality with industrial grade sensors and advanced algorithms. The IAQ tracks dust particles, carbon monoxide levels, volatile organic compounds as well as termperature and humidity. It features an iconic, round design and an intuitive user interface.
Aircore H2 – designed for workers in wind energy,  the Aircore H2 safety harness is light to reduce fatigue, features superior ergonomic fit for Asian users and multi-point adjustment for comfort. Its replaceable Honeywell lumbar technology provides extra durability to protect workers’ back and waist in harsh conditions. Well-designed indications make it intuitive to wear and use.

RAEGuard 3 – heavy-duty, explosion-proof, fixed gas detector designed to be used in extremely harsh and hazardous environments. Designed for quick, easy installation and maintenance, the detector can be attached to a wide range of pipes, fixtures, fittings and walls.
