OSHA and McCarthy Building Companies Inc. in Omaha, Nebraska, have signed a strategic partnership to promote worker safety and health during the construction of the Veterans Ambulatory Care Center - an addition to the Omaha Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

The partnership will address construction hazards such as falls, caught-in, and electrocution; educate employees and employers on best practices; and encourage worker participation in safety and health programs.

Through its Strategic Partnership Program, OSHA works with employers, employees, professional and trade associations, labor organizations, and other interested stakeholders to establish specific goals, strategies, and performance measures to improve worker safety and health.
