Fourth edition of TOS+H Expo in Turkey in May 2020

June 25, 2019

Messe Düsseldorf and its local partner Tezulaş Fuar will organize the fourth edition of TOS+H Expo, the Turkish Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition, from May 3 – 6, 2020 in Istanbul, Turkey. Held concurrently will be the X. International Occupational Safety and Health Congress, managed by the Turkish Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services. The new venue for both events will be the ICC Congress Center Istanbul, centrally located in the Taksim District, offering more space and optimal infrastructure.

TOS+H Expo is the leading trade exhibition for occupational safety and health in Turkey and its neighboring countries. Together, the exhibition and congress will offer a complete overview of the Turkish market. They will provide key impetus for the further implementation of uniform occupational safety standards as well as for establishing a corporate prevention culture in Turkey and its neighboring nations. For the first time TOS+H Expo 2020 will feature a special area for start-ups and non-profit organizations.

In 2018 Turkey had a workforce of 29 million people. Economic growth in sectors posting high accident statistics, such as the construction, mining, transportation and the processing industry, is significantly higher than in other sectors. This indicates that occupational accidents and illness rise as the economy grows. Recent studies show that occupational accidents and illness cost the Turkish economy about $ 8 billion annually.

Recently the Turkish Government adopted several political initiatives to make workplaces safer, to promote further education and decrease accident figures. This initiative is also designed to foster a safety culture in the workplace. TOS+H Expo 2020 and the X. International Occupational Safety and Health Congress will be the ideal platform to raise awareness about health and safety at work in Turkey.

At the last staging of TOS+H Expo in 2018, 119 exhibitors from 50 nations showcased their products to over 5,000 high quality trade visitors. The event is part of Messe Düsseldorf’s international occupational safety and health trade fair portfolio - alongside A+A (Leading International Trade Fair for Safety, Security and Health at Work), in Düsseldorf, Germany, COS+H (China International Safety + Health Exhibition) in Beijing and OS+H Asia (Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition for Asia) in Singapore.
