Safety and health professionals have just a few days to sign up for the online component of Safety 2021 before the rate increases on Aug. 28. The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) will present its 60th annual event Sept. 13-15 in Austin, Texas. The hybrid experience will feature both online and in-person sessions for the first time ever.

“It will be a dynamic learning and networking experience,” said ASSP President Bradley Giles, P.E., CSP, STS, FASSP, GIOSH. “We are excited to offer an online element for those who can’t make the trip.”

ASSP members protect workers around the globe and look to Safety 2021 to continue their education and find solutions to workplace safety challenges. The engaging virtual platform will feature mobile compatibility for unprecedented access. Online attendees will experience concurrent sessions and chat live with the speakers, network with fellow attendees and explore the online expo where they can watch product demonstrations and connect with exhibitors and sponsors.

ASSP’s signature event, which debuted in 1962, highlights best practices, industry trends and the latest product innovations. Concurrent sessions by industry trendsetters provide practical information that can be used today and in the future to protect workers, enhance business operations and advance careers.

The conference’s popular general and plenary sessions that aim to inspire, entertain and inform will be livestreamed from the Austin Convention Center so that in-person and online attendees experience them together in real time.

Safety professionals attending online can earn up to 6.4 continuing education units (CEUs) for career advancement. All registrations include 60-day on-demand access to sessions recorded for the online event. Groups from the same company can save on the entire conference by contacting ASSP group coordinator Nancy O’Toole at 847.768.3466 or notoole@assp.org.

In-person attendees whose travel plans have changed and need to switch their registration to online only must do so before Sept. 1 by contacting ASSP customer service at 847.699.2929. Safety and health professionals still debating which format works best for them should visit the Help Me Choose page on the event website.
