Werner is supporting OSHA and their National Safety Stand-Down initiative by hosting safety training events across the country throughout the month of May. Aimed at safety leaders and construction professionals, these voluntary training events raise education and awareness about preventing falls in construction and reinforcing the importance of fall protection – the leading cause of fatalities in the industry. Werner will provide in-person training sessions focused on ladder safety, fall protection best practices, and proper equipment use. These events will be held at jobsites and training facilities nationwide.

“Every year, Safety Stand-Down events provide an opportunity for employers and workers to reinforce the importance of fall prevention,” said Chad Lingerfelt, Director of Training and Jobsite Safety & Security at Werner. “We are committed to equipping jobsites with the knowledge, resources, and tools they need to work confidently and return home safely.”

Hands-On Safety Trainings and Resources

During the 11th Annual National Safety Stand-Down, scheduled from May 5- 9, 2025, workplaces are encouraged to proactively discuss the importance of safety and best practices to keep employees safe. Werner will offer in-person training, virtual education, and on-demand resources throughout the month of May and beyond.

Werner is organizing more than 750 safety trainings across the country, led by the Werner Jobsite Safety & Security (JSS) team. These training events will reach more than 60,000 construction and industry professionals, from general contractors to safety professionals to tradespeople. Werner’s safety programming is open to anyone committed to safer workplaces.
