That’s how R. Mukund, CEO of Benchmark Gensuite, describes the company’s new AI Agent framework for EHS using independent AI agents that can perform defined tasks, make decisions, and continuously learn from user interaction.

These are the first true AI agents specifically designed for EHS that go beyond copilots, chatbots or predictive analytics, according to Benchmark Gensuite. Agents are capable of working autonomously while maintaining human-in-the-loop oversight for critical decision-making, according to a company statement.

The company says its AI agent ecosystem represents a new era of agentic intelligence in EHS. Agents act, decide and learn.

The framework integrates deep domain knowledge and advanced generative AI to enable organizations to deploy a family of specialized, interconnected AI agents that work collaboratively to streamline compliance, reporting, and risk mitigation, according to the company. A new in-platform Agent Hub interface deploys and manages AI agents across EHS domains.

Each agent improves through user interaction and contextual feedback, expanding their capabilities over time.

Two capabilities introduced with the framework are the Permit AI Agent, which automates review, approval and tracking of environmental and safety permits; and the Chemical Management AI Agent, which streamlines hazard assessments, safety data sheet reviews and compliance documentation.
