J. J. Keller Expands Safety Solutions with Light-Up Protection Products

J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. announced the addition of light-up protection products to its safety offerings, designed to enhance worker visibility and reduce risk in low-light and high-traffic environments. These products are ideal for DOT road workers, construction crews, trucking, towing, emergency response, and personal safety.

Illuminated PPE helps workers stay visible in dim conditions, improving safety and compliance with ANSI/ISEA and OSHA worker visibility requirements. By adding illumination, workers can perform tasks more effectively and adapt to diverse work conditions, reducing accidents and liability risks.

"Visibility is critical for worker safety, especially in high-risk environments like road construction and transportation," said Ray Chishti, senior EHS editor at J. J. Keller. "According to the Federal Highway Administration, adequate lighting can reduce nighttime pedestrian injury crashes by 42%. This finding underscores the critical importance of visibility for anyone on or near the roadway. In work zones, where workers often operate in low light conditions, illuminated safety equipment, such as lighted vests, supports the same visibility principles by helping drivers detect workers sooner and reducing the risk of nighttime crashes.”

Product Highlights

  • Lighted Vests: Up to 15 hours of constant light or 25 hours flashing, quick recharge, and weather-resistant design.
  • Triangle Road Lights: Visible up to 1 mile, waterproof, solar backup, and continuous flashing for 24+ hours.
  • Body Light: Magnetic base, foldable stand, belt clip, and 400 lumens with visibility up to ½ mile.
  • Work Light: Up to 3000 lumens, 20-hour runtime, 360° swivel design, waterproof, multiple dynamic work light modes, including 2 emergency red modes.
  • Baton Commander: Magnetic body, wrist strap, built-in flashlight, and 360° visibility.
  • Head Lights: Hands-free illumination with adjustable brightness for precision work in dark environments.
  • Beanie with Integrated Light: Comfortable cold-weather protection with built-in LED for visibility and task lighting.
  • LED Safety Glasses: Eye protection combined with forward-facing LED lights for detailed work in low-light conditions.
