In response to the devastation in Haiti, the American Industrial Hygiene Association® (AIHA) is compiling contact information for industrial hygiene resources that relief agencies can refer to for advice and assistance, according to a recent press release. AIHA will also provide a list of publications that agencies involved in rescue efforts may find useful. The list of contacts and publications will be posted on the AIHA website,www.aiha.org.

In addition, AIHA will shortly make a donation to appropriate relief agencies. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recommends that individuals who wish to help should make monetary contributions to relief organizations throughwww.interaction.org. InterAction is a coalition of U.S.-based nongovernmental organizations focused on the world’s poor.

Individuals interested in offering technical assistance or donating supplies should register atwww.cidi.org, the website of the Center for International Disaster Information.
