Portable lightweight ladder extension takes one minute to assemble

The aluminum GrabSafe Mark II ladder from Ellis Fall Safety Solutions is a “gift most American workers would love to to have in a portable ladder,” according to J. Nigel Ellis, Ph.D., CSP.
The GrabSafe Mark II:
- Allows walk through
- Promotes the 3’ extension required by OSHA for holding for balance
- Is angled at 15 degrees to allow for both roofer and painter use
In addition the horizontal grip is needed under fall conditions according to the Justin Young patent (UMichigan 2011). Finally, the aluminum GrabSafe Mark II is now 5 lbs each side down from double that for steel construction and takes one minute to assemble, locking onto the top rung.
