Wiley X® unveils host of new sunglass models for 2014

Company's "Absolute. Premium. Protection." expands with new additions to climate Control™ Series, Street Series, Active Series and Changeable Series

December 9, 2013

Wiley XEyewear innovator Wiley X®, Inc. has a well-earned reputation for providing wearers with Absolute. Premium. Protection. - and with a host of new models joining its already extensive product line of vision protection systems for work and play, that reputation is sure to grow in 2014. Excitement about these new models will be even greater because almost all Wiley X eyewear styles are Rx-ready, making these glasses an ideal, no-compromise solution for people who require prescription lenses.

Wiley X has added bold new styles across its product line, starting with two new members of its innovative Climate Control™ Series. The new WX Arrow and WX Knife combine "sharp" styling with the visual acuity and protection for which Climate Control models are known. Like all Climate Control glasses, these two new additions feature Wiley X's patented removable, soft-foam Facial Cavity™ Seal that blocks out wind, dust and unwanted light. This design enhances the wearer's vision over a wide range of conditions and provides a comfortable, climate-controlled environment for the eyes. Both the WX Arrow and the WX Knife are offered in a range of stylish and functional frame/lens combinations, including special Black Ops™ editions and versions with Wiley X's advanced Filter 8™ polarized lens technology for driving, boating and other high-glare environments. The WX Arrow and WX Knife are also available with Wiley X's innovative Rx Rim System expanding the Rx range of these frames to +5.00
and -7.00.

Wiley X's popular Street Series sunglass family will grow with the addition of the new-for-2014 WX Moxy, combining daring styling with Wiley X's proven protection. This new model is available in either a stealthy Black Ops edition or an eye-catching version combing an Olive Stripe Frame with Polarized Green Platinum Flash lenses.

Two new models - the WX Tobi and WX Rebel - have been added to Wiley X's Active Series family. Like other Active Series models, these new additions feature wraparound-style frames with soft rubber nose pads and temple grips. The superior protection, excellent field of view and comfortable, secure fit provided by this design are ideal for active users who work or play hard. The WX Tobi is offered with a choice of Brown Crystal frame and Bronze lenses, or a Gloss Black frame paired with polarized Silver Flash lenses, and the new WX Rebel is offered with a choice of Matte Black Frame matched with Grey lenses or a Matte Layered Tortoise Frame with Polarized Bronze lenses.

Wiley X's innovative Changeable Series - a family of glasses designed for easy switching of lenses to match changing light conditions and situations - also has two new members. The new WX Vapor and Romer 3 provide wearers with Wiley X's state-of-the-art vision protection together with the ability to adapt to every environment and situation. Both new models are available in a variety of two- and three-lens combinations.

In addition to these new models for 2014, Wiley X has also added new frame color/lens combinations for some of its most popular models. The WX Gravity is now available in a matte white frame, the AirRage in a liquid plum frame and the P-17 in a gunmetal grey frame. In addition, both the Saber Advanced and WX Saint are now available with three lens packages that include smoke, clear and light rust lenses. Whichever style of Wiley X they choose, wearers are ensured the highest level of vision protection. Every pair of Wiley X sunglasses meets stringent ANSI Z87.1 High Velocity and High Mass Impact Safety standards, providing occupational grade protection for all wearers and a wide range of activities. Wiley X is the only premium sunglass brand with this level of vision protection in every pair of glasses it makes. Wiley X's Changeable Series models meet even more stringent MCEPS impact testing, including the MIL-PRF-32432 (GL), GL-PD-10-12 MCEP Standard and the EN-166F for high velocity impact standards.
