Wiley X® sponsored driver Kevin Harvick® takes checkered flag in Phoenix

Harvick dominates "The Profit on CNBC 500" at Phoenix International Raceway, moves into 4th in Sprint Cup Point Standings

March 10, 2014

Wiley XWiley X® sponsored NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick® is off to a fast start in 2014, winning "The Profit on CNBC 500" March 2nd at Phoenix International Raceway in only his second race after moving to Stewart-Haas Racing. The win marks Harvick's second straight victory at the desert track.

"We're extremely proud of Kevin and how he performed in this hard-fought race," said Myles Freeman, Jr. Co-Owner of Wiley X, Inc. "Even with a new team and new crew chief, Kevin continues to shine and show his competitive nature.  He is always going to give his best. We're excited for Kevin and look forward to what the rest of the racing season will bring," added Freeman.

After starting in 13th position, Harvick charged to the front of the pack and led the race for 224 of the 312 laps. He had to fight off fellow Wiley X racing teammates Joey Logano (who finished 4th) and Carl Edwards (who finished 8th) in the end to earn the victory.

Harvick's strong performance moved him into 4th position in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Point Standings, with 79 points. The current Top 10 Sprint Cup standings include three other Wiley X-sponsored drivers - Joey Logano, in 6th Place with 75 points, Matt Kenseth, in 7th Place with 70 points, and Carl Edwards, in 9th Place with 65 points. With plenty of racing ahead, there is a good chance for Wiley X sponsored drivers to dominate the Sprint Cup scene in 2014.

These top drivers and others rely on Wiley X's Absolute Premium Protection and crystal clear vision to help keep them focused on victory.  Wiley X sunglasses meets stringent ANSI Z87.1 High Velocity and High Mass Impact Safety standards, providing occupational-grade protection for all active wearers and a wide range of activities - whether on the job, participating in outdoor sports or driving the open road.  Wiley X is the only premium sunglass brand with this level of vision protection in every pair of glasses it makes.  It should come as no surprise that Wiley X is a leading provider of protective eyewear systems to U.S. military, law enforcement, Secret Service and other tactical wearers worldwide.

In addition, almost every Wiley X model is Rx-ready, making Wiley X eyewear the perfect, no compromise solution for people who want the style and protection of Wiley X with a wide range of available corrective lenses.
