Ergodyne announces new flame resistant apparel line

April 2, 2014

Ergodyne FR productsErgodyne has announced today the expansion of their CORE Performance Work Wear® Line to include Flame Resistant (FR) apparel. A revolutionary launch of seven garments, the new FR apparel offers dual-hazard solutions in both flash fire and electrical arc flash applications.

Using industry-leading fabrics, CORE Performance Work Wear® FR ensures compliance, superior comfort, and superhero style with Tencate's Tecasafe® Plus as well as PyroSafe by Antex® fabrics. Each model meets the FR performance requirement of ASTM F1506 and all mid/outer layers are UL certified to NFPA 2112.

"We are firm believers that FR clothing doesn't have to be uncomfortable, smelly, hot, or boring," said Tom Votel, president and CEO. "Because of these principles, we couldn't be more proud to launch today our new line of FR apparel. Made of the best fabric technologies on the planet with exceptional performance enhancing designs and some swagger to boot, our new flame-squelching gear provides dual-certified protection while looking and feeling great."

Specifically, the new models include:

7415 Base Layer Long Sleeve

7470 Base Layer Underwear

7425 Crew Neck Long Sleeve

7430 Henley Long Sleeve

7440 Pullover Hooded Fleece Sweatshirt

7445 Zip-Front Hooded Fleece Sweatshirt

7490 Unlined Coverall

The base layers offer HRC 1 classification according to the NFPA 70E standard while the mid and outer layers are classified as HRC 2. Designed with stretch fabrics, flat seams, and a relaxed-fit style, these garments also offer moisture wicking capabilities for comfort in any climate. Additionally, the new FR Line provides storage pockets in the mid and outer layers, allowing for free and efficient movement on any jobsite.

"We've designed and launched many FR accessories over the years," said Adria Hardy, product manager, Ergodyne. "With the debut of our new FR Apparel, Ergodyne is now a one-stop shop for all FR needs."

It's important to note that all Ergodyne FR-compliant products are noted with FR Tech Tags and include labels containing details on proper garment treatments, compliance standards, and classifications to ensure proper protection.
