Master Lock Company LLC showcased essential new safety products and addressed workplace compliance management issues that generated high interest at this year’s 30^th annual National VPPPA Conference & Expo, held August 25-28 at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Booth visitors were impressed with the recent Lockout/Tagout product introductions and were able to demo FIELD iD™ safety compliance software.

In the last nine months, the company has introduced several innovative safety products used in Lockout/Tagout procedures. On display at VPPPA were the S440/S450 12- and 24-hole Sliding Safety Hasps, S3920 Butterfly Valve Lockout Device, the S2394 Universal Miniature Circuit Breaker Lockout Device and Extreme Environment Safety Padlock Covers. These durable, heavy-duty products are manufactured to withstand the harsh environments commonly found in industrial settings..

Nelson said the S440 & S450 12- and 24-hole Sliding Safety Hasps attracted much attention since they feature a one-of-its kind design that improves conditions for group lockout situations. These hasps keep up to 24 workers safe by making equipment inoperative during repairs or when adjustments are being made. Featuring offset locking holes, the risk of locking the hasp in the open position is minimized and the non-sparking, anodized aluminum construction offers superior corrosion resistance.

Another attention grabber was the S3920 Butterfly Valve Lockout Device that easily adjusts to fit virtually any size butterfly valve and installs in a matter of seconds. Manufactured from Zenex™ thermoplastic material, it is highly resistant to extreme environments and corrosive elements, including chemicals found in many industrial environments.

The S2394 Universal Miniature Circuit Breaker Lockout Device features a tool-free design that makes it simple to apply and lockout nearly any type of miniature circuit breaker. Built from durable, chemical resistant Zenex™ thermoplastic material, the device can withstand extreme environments. The device can be mounted side-by-side on adjacent miniature circuit breakers and padlocks can be applied horizontally or vertically to lock out more than one breaker simultaneously.

The Master Lock® Extreme Environment Safety Padlock Covers are available for American Lock® A1100/S1100 series Aluminum Locks, Master Lock S6835/6835 series Aluminum Locks, and 406, 410, 411 and S30 Zenex Thermoplastic Locks.
