New visual learning system reinforces safety training for improved lesson retention

September 16, 2014

EyeCueMost safety managers would agree, training that’s quickly forgotten is little better than no training at all.

Now you can reinforce your safety training throughout the workplace with J. J. Keller™ training programs featuring the new J. J. Keller™ EyeCue™ Visual Learning System. It’s a fresh approach to safety training designed to enhance employee retention of key lessons so companies can further reduce injuries and accidents.

The EyeCue™ system incorporates a simple three-step process:

  1. Train employees using J. J. Keller™ programs enhanced with EyeCue™ icons shown at key training points throughout the program.
  2. Identify areas in your company to place the corresponding EyeCue™ tags where employee recall of those training lessons is critical.
  3. Reinforce the lessons by encouraging employees to associate the tags with the related J. J. Keller™ training for greater retention.

According to Joel Landsverk, J. J. Keller’s training product development manager, “The EyeCue™ system leverages proven visualization and association techniques to improve employee recollection of essential training topics. This increases the effectiveness of training on workplace behaviors, and it makes our high-impact programs even more memorable.”

The EyeCue™ Visual Learning System is now available as an optional upgrade for J. J. Keller’s best-selling workplace safety training programs in both online and DVD formats. The system includes an enhanced version of the training video with EyeCue™ icons integrated throughout, a topic-specific trainer guide that explains the different training methods for using the system, a workplace poster reminding employees of the training lessons related to each EyeCue™ tag, and a set of topic-specific tags, magnets, stickers, floor signs and window clings.

“This unique new system means the training doesn’t end when the training session does,” Landsverk added. “It now continues right into the workplace, maximizing a company’s investment in both their training and their people.”
