College competition heats up... football and recycling (9/9)

As part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) 2010 Game Day Challenge, colleges across the country will compete to see who can reduce, reuse, and recycle the most waste, the agency announced in a recent press release. Registration for the competition is now open and the winning colleges will be announced in November.

OSHA proposes improvements to its on-site consultation program (9/7)

OSHA announced in a recent press release that the agency has published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to revise regulations covering the agency's On-site Consultation Program. The changes will provide the agency greater flexibility for inspecting worksites that are undergoing an on-site consultation visit and those that are granted Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) status, as well as ensure enhanced worker safety.
