Cost-effective, compressed air-powered system sprays cleaners and disinfectants
June 9, 2020
Guardair Corporation, the largest domestic manufacturer of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliant safety air guns and pneumatic accessories, has developed an innovative product to spray cleaning solutions and disinfectants onto workplace surfaces to keep employees safe from infection.
OSHA standard 1910.242(b) relating to hand and portable powered tools and other hand-held equipment is clear on using compressed air for cleaning. “Compressed air shall not be used for cleaning purposes except where reduced to less than 30 psi and then only with effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment.”
Expanding its Jet-Kleen™ series of blow-off guns, Specialized Safety Products (SSP), a division of the A.W.T. World Trade Group, introduces the Jet-Kleen Limited, an economical alternative to compressed air systems.
EXAIR’s Efficiency Lab has been designed to help companies evaluate the efficiency of their current blowoff products such as air nozzles, air knives and air guns. Companies can ship these items to EXAIR where one of our qualified engineers will perform tests using calibrated, NIST traceable testing equipment.
