A tanker truck carrying more than 8,000 gallons of fuel was struck by a freight train early this morning outside of Dallas, Tx, resulting in a fiery explosion – but no injuries.
Officials says the tanker was struck by a Union Pacific freight train after it got stuck on the tracks.
The trucker jumped from the cab just before the train hit the rig. A conductor and engineer on the train escaped without injuries as well.
Emergency crews responding to the scene evacuated about fifty homes in the area due to the smoke.
