Association NewsThe National Hearing Conservation Association (NHCA) has appointed James Jerome to serve as president-elect, due to the recent appointment of Kristy Casto as NHCA president. The change was effective Oct. 31.

Jerome was nominated for the post by a special vote of the NHCA Executive Council.

The NHCA Policy & Procedures Manual (revised 2014) states that the following action shall take place following the a vacancy: Whenever a vacancy in the Executive Council shall occur, the Executive Council shall fill such vacancy by election of a qualified Member at its next regular meeting, or at a special meeting called for such purpose. Each Member elected to fill a vacancy shall hold office for the remainder of the unexpired term of said office, unless sooner removed, or until a successor is elected and qualified.
