Best-in-Class Protection: Full range of solutions with The StarLite® family of products

November 13, 2014

Gateway Safety Starlite LineGateway Safety, the award-winning manufacturer of the original StarLite safety eyewear, is proud to offer a complete family of StarLite products to meet a wide range of industry applications and user preferences. These product extensions include versions in a reduced size, foam-lined, colored temple, bifocal and even IR filter lens options.

Each member of the StarLite family boasts the same great qualities as the original. These include superior optics and durability — Gateway Safety only uses virgin raw materials when manufacturing StarLite products. This higher quality is verified by internal testing, plus an independent, third-party testing and certification program, performed by Underwriters Laboratories.

With a style that has become wildly popular over the years and a lightweight design that promises long-term comfort, StarLite is an industry favorite that helps improve compliance. Now, those with smaller profiles, fighting falling debris, needing a little extra help with small parts, or even those looking for a little fun in their safety eyewear have other options as well.

StarLite original safety glasses ushered in a new generation of protective eyewear when they were launched back in the ’90s, with all-day comfort, a snug, wrap-around frame and universal-fit temples that eliminated slippage. Often imitated but never duplicated, original StarLite offers unmatched style and quality. StarLite is available in 16 lens options, including anti-fog and IR filter shades 3.0 and 5.0.

StarLite SM is smaller but no less mighty. These safety glasses follow the industry-leading, popular style of original StarLite, but with a 10% reduced size for those with a smaller facial profile.

StarLite Gumballs shows the line’s cheeky personality, with ten temple hues in each box. Fun, random and colorful protection brightens the workday and your mood. The Gumballs line is offered in the regular StarLite profile or the smaller StarLite SM sizing.

StarLite Foam bridges the gap between glasses and goggles, with an added foam ledge at the top to help block dust and debris while also absorbing perspiration.

StarLite Mag helps bring the world into sharper focus with a dual-purpose lens: regular lightweight StarLite protection, plus a bifocal lens, in five different dioptic strengths.

StarLite Squared moves into the stratosphere, with the signature comfort and lightweight appeal of the original, but designed with contemporary, squared lenses and a completely clear frame for a more modern look.

All StarLite glasses have been independently tested to the ballistics impact section of the U.S. Military standard, MIL-PRF-31013, Clause 3.5.1.1, and are tested and certified by Underwriters Laboratories to meet the ANSI Z87.1+ high impact standard.

“The StarLite family of products showcases the fact that, to help ensure compliance, Gateway Safety offers a range of solutions to suit everyone,” said marketing manager Katie Mielcarek. “Whether you are looking for something more colorful or modern, to fit a smaller-sized frame or if you need a bifocal lens, StarLite has you covered.”
