Magid® introduces two new high-visibility work gloves

Products address need for comfortable, cost-effective and cut-resistant hi-viz hand protection

November 25, 2014

Magid high-visibility work glovesMagid, the leading manufacturer and supplier of safety solutions and personal protective equipment (PPE), developed and introduced two new high-visibility work gloves. The two styles are among the newest offerings from Magid’s D-ROC® line of cut-resistant work gloves. The gloves combine bright colors, breathable knit materials and polyurethane palm coatings for excellent visibility, durability, comfort and grip.

The new D-ROC gloves are available in ANSI cut level 2 (Item#: GPD525HV) and ANSI cut level 4 (Item#: GPD545HV) to provide customers with two hi-viz options, based on their application and the level of cut protection required. The GPD525HV uses Magid’s proprietary DuraBlend™ material for a comfortable and cost-effective cut-resistant work glove. The GPD545HV is made with an HPPE fiber blend to offer an even higher level of cut resistance and durability, while maintaining excellent dexterity.

“Each year, there are more than 1,000,000 workplace hand cuts and punctures and more than 2,500 visibility-related accidents,” said Sarah Anderson, Product Manager, Magid. “We developed these gloves in response to the need for new hi-viz solutions to help keep workers protected and make it easier for safety managers to ensure compliance.”

The GPD525HV (cut level 2) is ideal for assembly, appliance manufacturing, automotive assembly, maintenance and material handling, while the GPD545HV (cut level 4) provides added protection making it an excellent choice for these applications as well as automotive manufacturing, construction and metal handling, fabrication and stamping.
