Adding to its list of global leaders in safety, the Center for Safety and Health Sustainability (CSHS) is pleased to announce the addition of Fay Feeney to its Advisory Board. Feeney’s knowledge and experience in risk management and corporate governance will help advance the CSHS vision for safe, healthy and sustainable workplaces for all.
“We welcome Fay Feeney to our prestigious Advisory Board at CSHS,” said Board Chair Kathy Seabrook. “Fay’s knowledge of sustainability and the interests of corporate directors and institutional investors will create opportunities for us to expand our network and influence to these important stakeholders.”
Feeney is CEO of Risk for Good, an advisory firm that works with leaders to connect opportunities and manage enterprise risks emerging in our digitally-connected, transparency-seeking world. She has built a unique network of directors, investors and boardroom executives within the corporate governance community.
She has been recognized as a National Association of Corporate Directors’ Directorship100 “person to watch” and regularly speaks to the governance community on emerging risks like social media, cyber security and sustainability. Feeney is the past chair of the ASSE Foundation and sits on the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Southern California Chapter.
“I am thrilled to join the CSHS Advisory Board,” Feeney said. “Our professional expertise in safety and sustainability has never been more critical to investors, corporate boards and the C-suite. Leading global companies are broadening their strategy to consider physical and human capital at a level on par with financial opportunities. CSHS is uniquely qualified to accelerate leaders’ understanding of the materiality from these non-financial risks.”
CSHS was established to influence sustainability stakeholders and advance the understanding that a sustainable organization focuses on its human capital, ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for employees and contractors. CSHS is working to educate and advance occupational safety and health awareness to prevent the more than 2.3 million deaths arising from occupational accidents or work-related diseases each year. In particular, CSHS’s work in OSH translates as material to investors and shareholders, with the potential to improve occupational safety and health performance reporting at publically traded companies around the world.
