BLR delivers OSHA-compliant incident tracking software

July 20, 2015

BLR®—Business & Legal Resources, the leading provider of compliance and training services for safety, environmental, and human resource professionals, announces a new product that gives subscribers access to affordable best-in-class incident tracking software.

With the release, BLR clients will have access to a full-service safety compliance solution that enables them to run effective safety programs that minimize risk and meet stringent federal health and safety standards. The software manages incidents, corrective actions, workers’ compensation claims, and required OSHA recordkeeping through a Web-based application. It also helps safety and HR professionals identify the hidden and preventable hazards that threaten their employees, and it helps them produce programs that prevent future incidents.

“We are excited about the new Incident Tracker,” said David Galt, BLR’s managing editor of safety. “Our customers asked us for help managing and tracking both incidents and corrective actions, and we listened. Now they’ll be able to do both in real time.”

This software comes to BLR customers at a perfect time. On January 1, 2015, OSHA revised the list of industries that were exempt from the OSHA recordkeeping rule at 29 CFR 1904. This year almost 200,000 new establishments in the United States now have to record incidents on the OSHA 300 log.  The partnership provides BLR subscribers an application that will automatically generate OSHA 300, 300a, and 301 forms.

“This new tool further strengthens our product lines for safety and HR professionals.  It’s a workflow solution that complements the training and compliance tools we currently provide,” said Brad Forrister, vice president of product development for BLR. "For Safety.BLR.com® subscribers, compliance with OSHA’s recordkeeping regulation couldn’t be easier. Now you can quickly import your employee data, add incidents, generate the OSHA 300 log, and create effective training meetings to prevent future incidents all from one website, ” Forrister further explained.
