The DCP-23CP-12V power converter from Larson Electronics features a mounted 12 volt DC cigarette plug outlet inside a weather proof outlet box. This outlet is then connected to a transformer which includes an industrial grade male plug and a foot of cable, allowing operators to connect to common wall outlets in order to power 12 volt DC equipment. The outlet and converter assembly is mounted to a heavy gauge metal strip with a machined oval opening on one end for easy hanging of the assembly from hooks or other convenient locations. This unit provides a safe and effective way for users to tap into and utilize common 120 to 277 volts AC power sources and converts the current to 12 volts DC, allowing users to use standard AC power to operate equipment like our low voltage LED lights that require low voltage current.

This power transformer features an IP67 rated waterproof design, making it suitable for indoor or outdoor use and is wet area approved. It includes integral short circuit, over voltage, over temperature and overload protection that will shut the unit down or reduce output in case of faults and overloads to protect the unit and connected equipment from damage. The compact size and wide input voltage range of the unit makes it ideal for indoor and outdoor operation of Larson’s LED light bars, hand lamps and other equipment that requires 12 volts DC current.

“This unit will limit current when an over current condition is encountered and recovers when the condition is no longer a threat, protecting the equipment that is connected to the unit,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectronics.com. “It is recommended that you do not exceed 75% of the unit’s output amperage in order to obtain the best performance and longest operational life.”
