Visitor increase at TOS+H Expo 2016

May 18, 2016

The second TOS+H Expo (Turkish Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition) continued the success of the premiere event two years ago and recently concluded in Istanbul with a large increase in visitor participation: 5,223 trade visitors (3,540 in 2014) participated to see the latest trends in personal protection equipment, health at work, occupational safety presented by 106 exhibitors from 17 nations. TOS+H Expo 2016 was jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf and the local trade fair company Tezulas Fuar. Messe Düsseldorf is renowned as the organizer of A+A, the world’s No. 1 Trade Fair for Safety, Security and Health at Work, held every two years in Düsseldorf, Germany.

“TOS+H perfectly supplemented the 8th International Occupational Health and Safety Conference, which ran parallel. It was a recipe for success to have this combination of a conference with high-caliber speakers as well as discussions and a comprehensive overview of innovative products, equipment and services at the trade fair,” stated Birgit Horn, Director of A+A at Messe Düsseldorf.

TOS+H Expo 2016 was opened by the Turkish Labor Minister, Süleyman Soylu, underlining the importance of the event in this country.

Speaking for many exhibitors, Gerald Haas, Sales Manager Europe 2 at UVEX Safety, commented: “As before, TOS+H Expo has proved to be a perfect platform to strengthen our close bond with the Turkish market. Following the successful start in 2014, the trade fair has now confirmed its position as the leading industry event in Turkey.”

Sebastian Mohrwind, Head of International Sales at Innotech, added: “TOS+H was a great opportunity for Innotech and Yüksek ??ler to present their innovative products to a very interested audience.”

Amanda Yang, Project Executive at Valuedshow, agreed: “TOS+H turned out to be a highly comprehensive and communicative platform for Turkey and has exceeded our expectations. Most of the Chinese exhibitors have already indicated that they want to come back in two years. We would like to express our special thanks to the entire team of organizers.”

The next TOS+H Expo is scheduled for May 6 - 9, 2018 in Istanbul.  For further information on visiting or exhibiting at TOS+H 2018, contact Messe Düsseldorf North America, 150 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 2920, Chicago, IL 60601. TOS+H Expo 2016 exhibitor statements:

Merve Sener, Senior Marketing Coordinator, 3M:

“We are very satisfied with the TOS+H EXPO 2016 results. We had the opportunity of meeting with our old customers and presenting our new solutions as well as meeting new customers. Thank you very much.”

Burçin Ekinci, Company Owner, Brey:

“TOS+H EXPO carries the concept of Messe Düsseldorf and was organized with the quality of A+A. Although TOS+H EXPO is organized every 2 years, we strongly believe that it will be the only trade fair organized in the safety and health sector in Turkey. It is very important that TOS+H EXPO is held concurrently with the 8th International Conference on Occupational Safety and Health. Visitors of this trade fair are very competent and knowledgeable.”

Pelin Korkmaz, Marketing Manager, Drager Safety:

“Compared to the previous exhibition, the exhibitors built more sophisticated booths. With safety becoming more important and the big potential in Turkey, foreign companies pay more attention to their activities and participation. New visitors as well as old ones visited our booth during TOS+H EXPO 2016. We believe that the safety market will gain importance with government approach to Total Safety Regulation.”

Arda Ataoglu,CEO, Koruma

“Just like two years ago, we are very satisfied with TOS+H EXPO 2016. We are very pleased with the visitor profile and quality. We met new customers and believe they will bring us new business opportunities. We are certain that the capacity of this fair will increase. We are looking forward to seeing you in 2018!”

Fatih Furtun, General Manager, MFA:

“Since we consider being static a threat for production and the safety sector, we are very pleased with the increasing performance of TOS+H EXPO.”
