Successful debut of INOS+H expo in New Delhi

April 19, 2017

The first edition of INOS+H, the Indian Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition, recently closed in New Delhi with positive results. Organized by Messe Düsseldorf and Messe Düsseldorf India the trade fair took place concurrently with the INTERNATIONAL VISION ZERO Conference organized by the Indian Directorate General, Factory Advice Service & Labor Institutes (DGFASLI) and the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV). The Conference was supported by the International Social Security Association with the Sections for Prevention in the Construction Industry, Mining and Electricity. For three days, about 50 exhibitors from Austria, China, Germany, Great Britain, India, Sweden and Taiwan presented their product innovations from the areas of safety at work, personal protective equipment, health promotion and security at work. The trade fair and conference attracted 1,400 trade visitors from all over India.

Joachim Schäfer, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf, stated: “We are very pleased that we can establish the success formula of A+A in Düsseldorf (Germany), the world’s leading trade fair with congress for safety and health at the workplace, on the Indian market. Thanks to the valuable support by DGFASLI and the International Association for Social Security (ISSA), the first INOS+H EXPO stimulated trade visitors’ interest from the start. All first-time exhibitors, including many industry leaders, have already announced their participation in the next INOS+H EXPO in 2019.”

INOS+H EXPO 2017 exhibitors included high caliber exhibitors as Bornack GmbH & Co.KG, Globus Group, Loxy Sweden AB, Paulson International Ltd., 3M India Ltd., Accent Industries Ltd., Lakeland Gloves, Safety Apparels Private Limited and New Pig India Pvt. Ltd.

INOS+H Expo 2017 especially addressed safety engineers, safety experts and officers, plant managers and company physicians as well as representatives from government and mutual indemnity organizations.

“The first Vision Zero Conference was organized by DG FASLI & DGUV in cooperation with ISSA in response to the increasing importance of safe workplaces in India. The INOS+H trade fair held parallel perfectly complemented the conference and presented the relevant products on a high quality level. We definitely want to continue and expand this cooperation,” remarked Prof. Karl-Heinz Noetel, Vice-President of ISSA’s Construction Industry Section and Head of the PPE division.

Exhibitors were also pleased with their participation in INOS+H Expo 2017. ““Thank you very much to Messe Düsseldorf India and the team of A+A. This was our first show in India. The venue and organization were very professional. Due to the high-level conference, we met competent decision makers from all over India and from different industries like mining, construction and energy, said Klaus Bornack, CEO of Bornack GmbH & Co. KG.

Ainge Wu, Sales Manager at Wenzhou Donghi Optical Co. Ltd. from China, added: “The company has just planned to enter the Indian market when we received the launch information of INOS+H, a member show of A+A, so we decided to participate in the show very quickly. We received a lot of enquiries about our products and met with a couple of high-quality buyers during the show. Thanks to Messe Düsseldorf for launching INOS+H at the right time. We will for sure participate in the next show in 2019.”

Minister of Labor Bandaru Dattatreya and Secretary of State M. Sathiyavathy emphasized the increasing importance of safety and health at the workplace in India’s current economic environment: “With above-average economic growth and a rising income of US$ 5,410 GNP per capita there is increasing focus on the aspects of safe and healthy workplaces among relevant stakeholders. With its growth potential India is an interesting market for international suppliers of protective equipment. At the same time, many international companies run production sites in India and expect the customary safety standards and regulations for technical safety at work to be expanded further. This dynamic environment is the perfect starting point for the occupational safety + health exhibition INOS+H Expo which offers a unique industry platform for experts.”

The next INOS+H EXPO will be held in spring 2019 at the Vigyan Bhavan exhibition center in New Delhi.
