3D-printed hand allows seven-year-old to throw out first pitch
Hailey Dawson from Las Vegas was born with Poland syndrome, which left her missing three fingers on her right hand. A team at the University of Nevada Las Vegas made Hailey a robotic prosthetic arm using a 3D printer. The seven-year-old has already thrown out the ceremonial first pitch for the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Nationals.
After a sports website shared her story, 24 of the remaining 28 MLB teams publicly said they'd be happy to host her. Several minor league, college, and softball teams also made offers, including a baseball team in Mexico
