Streamlight® launches Twin-Task® USB Headlamp

USB rechargeable light features spot and COB FLOOD modes; delivers 375 lumens

product innovations
January 4, 2018

Streamlight®, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting, announced its popular Twin-Task® line of work lights now includes a hands-free, rechargeable model, the Twin-Task® USB Headlamp.  The new light uses two unique LEDs to provide a spot beam or flood light, allowing for hands-free lighting for both distance and close-up applications. Delivering up to 375 lumens, it also features a built-in USB port for on-the-go recharging in the light.

The Twin-Task USB headlamp uses a traditional LED to provide spot lighting for distance illumination, while a new technology COB LED delivers a smooth, diffused flood light that reduces glare while filling a work area with light.

“With two light sources to choose from, the new Twin-Task USB brings the versatility of the handheld model to a headlamp,” said Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. Dineen. “With its main beam for distance spotting and a COB Flood LED for working close up, automotive, industrial and other professionals always have just the right mode for their lighting needs. It also offers the convenience of USB recharging, or the option of quickly changing to a backup battery if a USB charging source isn’t available.”

The Twin-Task USB Headlamp features a rechargeable lithium ion battery which is located in a rear battery pack that is contoured for user comfort.  Its multi-function, push-button switch allows users to access five lighting modes. The Spot LED (with high, medium and low modes) ranges from 375 lumens and 4.75 hours of run time on high to 50 lumens and 20 hours on low.  The COB Flood LED has two modes: high, 250 lumens and a 5-hour run time; and low, 125 lumens and a 9.25-hour run time.

The headlamp features a low profile, ergonomically balanced design, including a 120 degree tilting head to reduce neck fatigue. With a body made of impact-modified nylon, the light weighs 6.1 ounces with the included battery. The light’s head bracket measures 2.67 inches long and the rear battery pack is 3.34 inches in length.

Featuring an IPX4 rating for water resistance, the Twin-Task USB Headlamp is water resistant to 2 meters.

Available in a black/red combination, the Twin-Task USB Headlamp has an MSRP of $100.00 and comes with Streamlight's Limited Lifetime warranty.
